All developers are thoroughly screened before working with Blue Boardwalk. On average only 5% of applicants successfully complete our screening process. Our screening process is as difficult as the interview process at Google or Amazon. The skills challenge can be completed in any modern programming language. We may also complete background and reference checks.
There are four phases of the screening process:
English language and professionalism
Candidates will be screened for English language proficiency as well as overall professionalism. This interview will be conducted over video chat. 85% of applicants pass this round.
Problem solving Phase one
Each candidate is given a set of problems (algorithms, data structures, math, statistics) to solve in 90 minutes. The problems will be automatically graded by a set of tests. The problems can be completed in any programming language. 30% of applicants pass this round.
Problem Solving Phase two
Each candidate is given a second set of problems to solve in a video chat session. This round is more interactive as the interviewer will be asking questions ensuring the candidate is capable and qualified. 20% of applicants pass this round.
The candidate will be given a project to complete by a certain deadline. The project is expected to take 20 to 30 hours to complete. Once completed, the code will be reviewed and the candidate will demo their work. 5% of applicants pass this round.
